Mom arrives with dinner


Senior had to turn her back as she was too close to Mom's landing spot, but, she was in the best site to grab the fish


And grab it she did


She has begun her very slow eating while the other two stand back and wait

My two minute stop in before I feed the crew here.

Mom and the trio are home.
Sr. must be eating the same fish you saw her with earlier BET

I finally returned at 7.45 pm and I think that it is Jr. eating a large white fish - surely this has to be a different fish- with Middy waiting in the wings. Middy moved closer and tried for the fish at 8.01 but came up empty. She then stared out at the river perhaps fooling Jr because her very quick move to the cam railing this time was successful.

Jr did not seem unhappy so perhaps had her fill. After feaking her beak Jr flew off at 8.05. Middy was enjoying her prize on the river rail while a fisherman walked along the edge of the river heading upstream.

Darn...when I returned to look in again both Middy and the fish were gone. She does like to take her fish off nest so that is probably for the best.

Good morning Calgary

Jean, thanks for the last reports yesterday. I did finally get a chance to watch for a few minutes last night but it was quite late and the nest was empty so there was really nothing to report.

6:11 a.m.
First arrival today is JR


6:17 am
Middy joins the nest.


I see Middy has a feather out of place this morning.

6:24 am
SR is the last to join her siblings.
It's nice to see all three together when migration is only days away.


6:34 am
The three are still waiting for a fish to be delivered.
JR decided to pick at the plastic.
