7:25 a.m.
He's off again.
Mom is still on her eggs. She seems very subdued this morning so I'm wondering if there is a third egg on the way.

7:31 a.m.
She was up to roll the eggs but didn't show us more than a glimpse before settling again and I only spotted the two.

8:31 a.m.
Up again for an egg roll but so far only the two eggs.

Mom is nodding off occasionally. This is the way she was the last time an egg was about to arrive so I won't be surprised if she is in labour. Only time will tell.

Dad arrived.

Mom relinquished the eggs to Dad then flew off. There are still only the two eggs.

9:32 a.m.
Dad has been up and down stirring the eggs and fluffing the nest. He's having a hard time getting comfortable.
....and then Mom returned just as he settled in again.

Both are poking around at the nesting. Just as I thought he would give Mom the eggs he settled in again but she has other ideas and made him get out of the bowl so she could take over. He took a hint and flew off shortly afterwards and she settled in.

9:36 a.m.
He returned and she gets out of the bowl and pokes around on the rim. I don't know if I'm seeing things, or if it's wishful thinking, but I thought I spotted 3 eggs. I can't be exactly sure because Dad is now trying to settle into the bowl again and blocking the view. . If there is a third egg then Mom set an all time speed record for laying one.

9:37 a.m.
Dad is still poking around in the bowl while Mom stands to the side of the nest.
The minute she flew off he was settled into the bowl and I couldn't see how many eggs there are. Grrrrrr.

Wow Judy. That was a short visit if what you think you saw turns out to be true. Smile I can't get this nest on my phone and am multitasking so may miss it. I think that it would be unusual for Mom to leave that quickly though.

9.54 Dad turned the eggs and I saw two. It's a lovely sunny Sunday morning.Sunny

Good morning Judy and thanks for the lovely scaps. Dad was having a field day shredding his bark just after 10.00 am. I'll be out this afternoon and evening too so I hope someone is watching and will report. Then I'll be away on a birding holiday and won't return until the May long weekend. I trust that all will go well here. Smile

10.28 am Mom has been picking at the bark and
turning her head back and forth. She stood up at 11.28 am and I saw one egg only. Mom sat down again and was up at 11.33.57 and I saw two eggs but she is covering most of the bowl.

At 11.37 Mom sat again but she nudged an egg and there may have been three. If you are taping Bet please review this.
