Good Morning All

It is a chilly morning. I brought the cam up at 6:00 a.m. and the first thing I noticed is that Mom has a bit of frost covering her tail and wing tip her feathers.

It wasn't until 6:17 a.m. that Dad finally arrived and he stayed long enough to mate with her then flew off immediately.

6:29 a.m.
He arrived again...long enough to mate for the second time and left immediately after.

6:32 am
He returned and stayed until 6:35. No mating this time and no sticks.
Mom hasn't left the nest at all yet and has been very subdued. Could we possibly have an egg arrive today ? It is a couple of days earlier than usual but anything is possible at this point.

6:50 a.m.
Dad returned with a headless fish and Mom has shown no interest in it whatsoever.
He had a few nibbles while he waited and then decided to fly off with it at 6:52 a.m.
I am curious to know why Mom isn't hungry. Puzzled

***Good morning everyone. I've been watching the video and checking out the pictures & comments in here, I think the O's should be happy with todays sunny start. It must feel nice to stand in the sunshine early morning after a few days of overcast skies. They did one fantastic job on building that nest in spite of that invasive stick. They're very smart in their own way.

Good morning Ernie. The nest does look great and that empty area at the front will give Dad somewhere to put all his additional sticks when Mom is busy incubating later.

7:47 am
Dad returned and at 7:50 a.m. Mom finally stepped out of the bowl to perch on the nest rim. Dad keeps looking at the bowl as if to say "What, no egg yet ?"

7:54 am
Mom finally flew off. I was beginning to wonder if she was ever going to leave the nest this morning.

8:03 a.m.
Dad flew off and the nest is now empty.

.... I am off--- must get things done around here and I have a funeral to attend this afternoon. Sad

Dad brought in another large awkward stick. Again Mom took a few hits as he tried to place it

He brought in more grass and a few smaller sticks as the day progressed. Last I watched was another mating at 4:25
