4:12 Mom returned from one of her forays for nest material. The bowl is starting to take shape

She then moved into a position in the middle of the bowl Looking out to the right side. Dad flew in with a fish and she didn't even bother to look back at him He flew off with the fish

I moved to my laptop because I cannot post pictures from my ipad. Hmmm....what can I be doing wrong?

Here are the sticks in 2013 and then 2015. They were the same sticks but this year it is a different stick. I wonder if the person removing the nest was a little eager and then someone told the person a stick should be left so a big stick was put in. It is too big.

Good Morning All

This is my quick stop in for the day. My company woke up before me so my cam watching is pretty much nil for the day but I did catch both Mom and Dad on the nest at 6:37 a.m. as Dad was bringing in more branches.

Christine, I had found on the last iOS update for the iPad that the jpeg images were now stored as PNG files, which is probably because Apple is upgrading their internal cameras. Our forum won't accept PNG files. I downloaded an App called JPEG - PNG so that I can convert the images to jpeg when I need to use them on the forum .
It does mean an extra step to get an image prepared but it does work.

***Yes! That same stick used in 2013 &2015 was a more reasonable size. They could chose to move it around or just build over it. This years stick divides the nest in half causing them to build way outside the rim, this could cause trouble for eggs or chicks later but hopefully they will manage.

At 10:00 am Dad arrived with a fish. He stood mid nest looking about for some time. No Mom. So he moved up to the front rim and began eating the fish. A little after 11:00 Mom arrived. She watched Dad eating the fish and decided she wanted it

A brief tug of war ensued - Dad decided to surrender the fish to Mom who started eating it on the nest. Then flew off with it. Both returned later with sticks and as I have had time to check, bringing in and arranging sticks is all that's been going on for the last hour.

11:23

Mom came flying in and went in immediate defense attack mode. Dad flew in to defend also

He stayed briefly - Took off to attack the intruder. Then Mom went into a wild defense

Intruder made a very low pass

Dad was right back on the nest - Then off again. Mom continued her nest defense. Several times her defense indicated the intruder was overhead. Dad was on and off the nest again. Finally after a bit over 3 minutes the attack was over. Both Mom and Dad are staying on the nest and on high alert.
