Bev, I have been watching more closely. I can now see a distinction between mom and dad while incubating. Dad fidgets and futzes with the nest and mom settles into veg. I figure after 15 minutes if the eagle is still putzing about it must be the dad. On this cam feed, I am still having trouble telling which eagle it is based on size unless both are in the shot. This is amazing stuff.

Morning Standley eagles and eggs! I saw the eagle on the SWFEC was using the wind to help with flying practice, using it for lift to jump/fly to nearby branches. Wonder how will work here in CO with our bleeping gale winds?

Is that why the nest here is shaped more like a bowl than a saucer? Or is it just a function of how the branches are in the tree?

Good Morning Stanley Eagles... Donna...Janet and all! The eagles seem to enjoy the wind and take advantage of it ... as for the nest I think it is function of the branches....

Same here. It was tranquil to watch, a miracle in the making. I have to admit, I would click over to see if E9 was wingersizing and branching or to see if April the giraffe was actually going to have the calf.
