Good Morning to all who love and watch this nest! Thanks for the over night pics of the eagles Jennifer.. very odd that they changed during the night, eagles do not see well at night and unless there is a problem mom usually is the one who incubates during the night. I did see a video on Facebook by PJ Guillo LiBrandi of the switch over, it was pouring rain. My guess is Dad relieved mom earlier since she was on for so long during the rain, and then she came back to finish off night duty. Thanks for the heads up Jennifer, Thank You

Weather report for the nest today.. going to be stormy and bringing in colder temps again..

7:32 am Dad on duty.. see how his wing tips do not come to the end of his tail, good indicator of who is whom. Another identifier if you hear vocals is Mom's voice is deeper and slower and dad is higher and faster.

Hi, all! It's another night of inclement weather at the nest. It's about 51 degrees F with a real feel temperature of 45 degrees F, but the winds are blowing at sustained rates of 24 mph and gusting at 36 mph or more. There are reports from local residents of 40-50 mph wind gusts, but I cannot confirm via weather outlets (although watching/listening to the cams...I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility). Wind advisory is in effect until around 9:00 AM.

Liberty is being incredibly brave, only calling out a little now and then, possibly in answer to Freedom - the wind is so strong that it's hard to hear the eagles! He came down onto the nest earlier tonight for comfort or else to offer relief, but she's remained on duty. She had her beak gripping the nesting material for a while, but she's since tucked in against the wind.

2:03 AM (ET) - Liberty quickly and deftly rolled the eggs and immediately settled back down over the bole, tucking back in against the wind... These gusts are very concerning.

2:05 AM (ET) - We've now lost all video, probably due to the wind. Here is the error message present on each of the available cams:

Here's hoping Liberty, Freedom, and the eggs are all right. Will keep checking to see if the cams come back online before I sign off for the night.

3:19 AM (ET): The cameras are back online! I believe Liberty is still the one incubating, tucked in and trying not to let the winds frighten her off the nest. I am really concerned about these gusts - it's worse now than it was earlier. I think I'm staying glued to the laptop for a while...

3:30 AM (ET): Liberty chirped a bit, then rose and gave the eggs another quick roll, hunkering down and digging in at first, then tucking against the wind. Hang in there, brave eagles.

Good Morning All!
7:11am - I believe that Dad (Freedom) is on the nest this morning (tail indent) and it is still windy.

Note that everything is still brown here in Pennsylvania. We will not get green leaves until later in April.
