Tuesday contin.

Dad continues brooding..

been a very quiet day at the nest with the shift changes and brooding. No signs of an intruder or hearing anything out of the ordinary. The mate could always be on a branch close by that we don't see them. It would be nice if one of the cams was a PTZ but we are happy with the sound and the second IR cam that we have. Thanks PGC!

The nest yesterday was quiet and with the usual shift changes during the day, Eggs were rolled and all seemed good. Around 6pm last night, I heard the eagles come to the nest, both left and heard mating and chatter off around the nest... afterwards Mom came back to the nest and settled down for the night Wub

Dad on duty this morning at 8:00 am

It was a beautiful day on the nest today, warm very warm. I saw panting eagles, both mom and dad were warm, They were off the eggs a little more then usual but not long enough to cause any alarm. Just like you can't let eggs get too cold you can't let them get too hot. Eagle parents can sense the temps with their brood patch to regulate the temperature of the eggs. Smart Bravo

There was a bit of a ruckus around 3:30 this afternoon, Mom was not happy and Dad could be heard off cam also but never saw any other eagles or confrontation. Other then that it as another peaceful day...

5:45pm Mom comes back to the nest, rolls her lovely eggs

9:48 PM (ET) - Hope incubating whilst hunkered down on the nest with her beak slightly dug in for added grip against the gusty wind. It looks as though thunderstorms will be moving through the area tomorrow, so probably a wet and windy start to the weekend for the Hanover eagles. Hang in there!
