It looked like the sub adult was moving sticks around for a bit & then it flew out and landed back over on Dead Tree.

It was an interesting morning to say the least! I wish I could've stayed all day, but had to get going! I contacted Kit & asked her to go down there when she could & she was able to watch more of "The Stand Off at the TB Nest" between Liberty & the sub adult!

Hi Karen! Thanks for your kind words! When it is your passion, it all comes very easily as you know!!! I don't know how YOU or DAVID do all of the things you do?!? How you keep tabs on over 400 nests is well beyond comprehension my friend! But, I greatly admire & respect your dedication and efforts on behalf of eagles & eagle lovers everywhere!!!


So, as I mentioned, we have been seeing several young eagles of different ages in the Turtle Bay area the past few weeks!

Here are two different aged young eagles that I have seen lately...

Here is the first young eagle I saw in flight so you can see the mottling underneath...

Here are a few more of the eagle with the dark markings near the eyes. It caught & ate 2 fish while I was there so it had a nice full crop going on!

Then, last weekend, Sue spotted an eagle on the Christmas Tree that looked like an adult but wasn't Liberty or Spirit!

But, this morning, things returned to normal when I found this lovely pair of eagles on top of the Christmas Tree...

There were even some love bites and lots of trilling going on between these two lovebirds! What a thrill to see them both up there together!
This was the first time this season that I have been able to capture these two together!
