Bravo Glad to see our HWF forum is up and running again!Left thumb up

Thank you to one and all that got things resolved!Bravo

Gary informed us that the Keswick Dam Releases finally slowed down to around 10,000 cfs the last 2 days, so my hubby & I attempted to go replace the POE converters today, but ran into a RoadBlock!!! Literally, a RoadBlock!!! Titter

There is a HUGE Car Show, Kool April Nites, going on down in the Turtle Bay Area this weekend. My hubby and I attempted to turn in toward the area where we drive back behind the Museum to get to the pond area where he launches the kayak. But, the Security Guards told us it wasn't going to happen! They said the area was CLOSED off due to the Car Show!!!

So, we headed home, unpacked the truck & will give it another try either tomorrow(depending on the Car Show) or Monday!

Perseverance is KEY!!!

Eaglecam Repair#2 Update:

Well folks, we tried to get out there today to do the necessary repairs to get the cam streaming again but we ran into a Roadblock! And, I literally mean a Roadblock!!!

We tried to turn right into the Convention Center area off of Highway 44 this morning, but they had Security Guards & Police & Kool April Nites Workers blocking our path! We told them we needed to get through to drive behind the Museum to do Eaglecam Repairs and they told us "Sorry, that is not going to happen today! This area is closed!"

So, once again our efforts have been thwarted! But, we are not giving up! We probably will run into the same situation tomorrow so it will most likely be Monday before we can get this done!

Thanks for your continued patience & understanding...Grin

Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

We are back in action folks!!!!

My hubby Dave was able to replace the POE Converter this morning and the Eaglecam started streaming right away!!!!

He also raised it ABOVE GROUND so we don't have this issue AGAIN!!!!

On a sad note, it looks like we have only 1 eaglet in the nest Sad But, with the many challenges of this nesting season, we are counting our lucky stars that we even have ONE EAGLET!!!! Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

The other egg mustn't have been viable but someone said it looked like the adult was continuing to incubate it. We have seen this happen at other nests before, and I know some of the other HWF nests as well. Eventually they will figure out that it isn't going to hatch...

Wonderful news Terri. Just took a peek and you can see the little one in front of the parent. How sweet is this!

Looks like Spirit is with the little one now. Fish is ready for the next meal.

4:45pm..........So glad you are back online Terri and a big thanks to Dave for all his hard work here! Sad, there is only 1 eaglet here now............but at least one is better than none, and better than the situation as it appeared earlier this season when our eagles had no nest to lay eggs in!

I have an urge to zoom in the cam here..........obviously can't though. Eaglet looks healthy and just imagine all the attention and personal lessons he/she is going to get from Liberty and Spirit!
