Spirit chased off at least 1 young eagle, possibly 2 eagles, over in the bluff branch area...

Spirit landed atop another pine tree in bluff branch area and remained there for a bit before heading south...






Liberty stayed a bit longer on Christmas Tree, but then she flew off and headed south toward her mate...

So happy your drought is over, Terri. We've been getting lots of rain down here in Vegas as well but not as much as you. Great to see Liberty and Spirit bonding.

More interesting things going on down in the Turtle Bay area this morning! No sign of L or S today, but there were 3 young eagles down there, and 2 of them seemed to be hanging out together? One of them was a sub adult, close to 5 years old, but the other one looked about a year younger? Maybe 4 years old?

So, one is ready for breeding, but the other looked a bit too young to me?

Anyway, I found them both on the Family Tree this morning around 9:45am...

The Sub Adult flew off and headed toward Dead Tree, and the Immature followed it over there. I couldn't get a clear shot of the Immature on Dead Tree because of where it landed, but I was able to get a clear shot of the Sub Adult...

The immature took off and flying right past the sub adult eagle and headed toward Bluff Branch area...
