Evening Ferenz and Friends

I will be soon be closing this thread and unlocking a new thread for the 2018 Channel Islands Bald Eagle Nesting Pairs.

Ferenz great to see you here; thanks so much for the captures of our beautiful West End pair; i think these captures were taken from cam highlights not live footage Wub
The Bald Canyon pair have been visiting their nest.

Thanks to Dr. Sharpe and team for getting the cams live on the West End and Two Harbors (new nest) nests again Clapping

Have a good evening Big hugs

Sauces Update

Dr Sharpe of IWS responded to a question about the analysis of the egg shells and the failure of 8 eggs laid by the Sauces female 2017 nesting season:
The shell fragments we collected appear to have about 39% thinning compared to those measured in the pre-DDT era, but there is no way to determine what caused the thinning.

Thanks to Judyb for asking Dr. Sharpe the question Clapping
