12:04pm Both eagles are on the nest. As they begin to nestorate there is a bit of nipping by Mom.

Very cold overnight. We have a frosty nest this morning.



I checked throughout the day but did not find the eagles at the nest.

December 9, 2016



7:15am No eagles are at the nest.

12:37pm Both eagles are on the nest. They are watchful and then get busy moving sticks. Then they will be watchful again.
12:40pm Dad is off.

12:39pm They are busy moving sticks.


12:40pm Both watchful and then dad is off.

12:40pm to 12:51pm Dad is off the nest but Mom is preening and watchful. I hear a snap and the nest rocks. Then Dad arrives with a stick. I am wondering if he broke it off the nest tree.

12:49pm to 1:03pm They are busy moving sticks.




1:03pm Dad is off again

1:04pm to 1:15pm Mom begins to move around the nest breaking twigs from the branches woven in the fence. She is watchful and begins to vocalize at 1:06pm
She is standing quietly at the top of the nest. and then begins to move sticks up higher on the fence. Dad arrives with another stick. He almost lands on Mom. Again the whole tree shook before
he landed. Perhaps he is getting those sticks from the nest tree.

1:20pm Mom exits the nest. and returns with a stick of her own. Dad decides he knows just where it fits in the fence. They both begin to move sticks and have a tug o war over one. Sorry I missed the snap.
1:23pm Both are busy moving sticks and nesting material.
1:30pm Off they go.

When I stopped by I did not see eagles.
