12:38pm Mom is on the nest eating. Then both are on the nest. Mom is eating the prairie dog.
12:44pm Mom is done and dad takes the food up to the top of the nest. Mom goes up above.
12:53pm Dad continues to eat.

I had to leave and missed his exit.

4:58pm to 5:51pm We have an eagle on the nest. It mostly stands still watching over the area.

This could be a snowy day by noon. The cam is down so not much to report.

January 25, 2017



9:05 to 9:50am Both eagles were in and out of the nest this morning. Dad was busy moving and fluffing nesting materials at center nest. He also brought in a stick. Mom was busy moving sticks and brought in her own too. She also was working with the nesting materials where I believe the egg cup will be. It isn't too long now until eggs arrive. Mom has laid from 2/14 to 2/20 most years. One year she laid the first egg in early March.

9:12am Both eagles are at the nest

9:18am One is off the nest. The other watches and preens.
9:30am Eagle is off.
9:36am One is back with a stick.
9:37am Both are on the nest now.
9:43am One flies up to the perch above. You can see its shadow on the nest.
9:47am Eagle above flies off.
9:50am The other eagle has been standing on the right side of the nest. It moves to the other side and is off at 9:52am

9:44am One is up above.


I am back tracking here but these magpies feel like they are part of this nest family.

2:15pm Mom on the nest. She left but at
2:38pm she was in the nest again with food. She watched for quite awhile before she began to eat.






4:13pm She is at the top of the nest. She stand there until 4:49pm when she leaves the nest.
