sometime after 1:30pm the eagles or one of them was on the nest. It/they brought in a little nesting material. Today I could hear the geese flying over and ducks on the creek.

10:09am No eagles seen at nest this morning when I checked.

Yeah! I just happened to check in and both eagles arrived as soon as I got the cam up!



The cam is really skipping I wonder if it is a bit frozen?

That was a nice long visit this afternoon. It is still cold here about 25 degrees. Love the snap of both of them on the nest.

Mom arrived about 1:25pm She had a stick that she placed at the lower left side of the nest.
1:28pm She left the nest.
1:30pm Mom is back with a stick.
1:32pm Both on the nest. They move sticks and move about the nest. The camera paused and at 1:37 There was an eagle at the top left on the nest.
1:40pm Dad arrives
1:44pm Mom is off
1:49pm Mom arrives
1:55pm Both of the nest.

With the warmer temperatures the next 4 or so days we will see the snow disappear quickly.

January 9, 2017



We had visitors overnight. A family of raccoons, 3 at least, arrived after dark. This morning before sunrise the eagles were inspecting the nest. They were busy moving sticks and aerating the nest.
They were back at 9:26am, but mostly were standing and watching around their territory. They were off the nest at 10:03.

9:26am The eagles are back on the nest. Dad went up above on the perch. You can see his tail in the upper left corner of one of the pictures. The both were at the nest being watchful until 10:03am

4:06pm We have an eagle on the nest with a rabbit for dinner. The magpies visit but don't get any while our eagle is there.
4:50pm Dinner is over and the nest is empty.
