I have been watching H & M rebuild their nest thanks to the videos wskrsnwing has posted each day. Amazing how quickly they built this nest.

Again Thank You wskrsnwing

Hello Pat P. You are so welcome. Yes, once Harriet and M15 got those first sticks in place and holding, they have done an amazing job of getting the nest built. We are so fortunate to have this opportunity to learn more every day from this eagle pair. VickiO/wskrswings

Timing Is Everything~Each Alone At The Nest & Watchful 09-24-16

No nest material was added this am, although M brought moss but dropped it from his beak. Harriet and M15 spent time separately at the nest, watchful of their territory. Harriet saw M approaching and flew to the NW, passing M as he flew to the nest tree. A lot of eagles are now migrating back to SW FL for the winter; H and M may be taking some days off from nest building to make sure their territory is secure. All in a day's work for eagles.

Here is the post from Southwest Florida Eagle Cam September 21 about the cam installation that day. What a great photo SWFEC posted of the nest "from above". Smile

A very exciting & special day! Cams have been installed and we are preparing/testing for Season 5. Here is the first glimpse of the nest rebuild.

We will keep everyone posted when we have a launch date confirmed. Thank you for your continued support.

GROUND OBSERVATIONS - Sunday, September 25
(scaps and narrative courtesy of myself)

Wow! What a morning! Nest building frenzy from 7-10am. Between the two of them, there were 35-40 items, sticks, grasses and moss, added to the nest. Twice they went to the same place together for sticks, more views of grabbing branches and grasses, some mutual appreciation time and placing sticks together with little time resting between additions. Their heads are now above my "measuring stick" (the thin branch parallel with porch branch) with their shoulders almost even to the top of it. Scaps are comparisons of the nest progress from 9-24 & 9-25 from the church viewing area. Video much later. It will take me a while to edit my footage.
