We at Hancock Wildlife Foundation welcome you to year 4 of our coverage of the North East Florida Eagle Cam. We would like to thank the American Eagle Foundation (AEF) and Al Cecere for sponsoring this wonderful window into the daily life of these majestic raptors ~~ Romeo and Juliet! The American Eagle Foundation was given the special privilege of placing their cameras and equipment on private and protected property. The AEF is under strict agreement with the property owners to never disclose the location of the nest, and, more importantly, to protect the resident eagles and their nest tree. Please respect this request. The area is closed to the public. Please respect these requirements and requests.

This nest was very successful last season with the hatching of both eggs and the fledging of both beautiful eaglets, Nick and Noel. We are hoping for another great season this year!!

*Juliet arrives home - September 5, 4:30pm

*Eaglets get their names - January 20: Peace (NE 16) & Hope (NE 17).
Peace Requires Medical Intervention
*Peace to be removed from nest for medical evaluation - February 9, 8pm - they need to evaluate her foot where a piece of fishing line had been caught around it
*Peace successfully removed from the nest - February 10, 12:01pm
*Peace undergoing evaluation at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey - February 10, 4:31pm - no fractures were discovered
*Peace to spend some time at Audubon Center for Birds of Prey for further evaluation - February 10, 4:59pm
*Juliet returned to the nest, and feed Hope breakfish - February 11, 8:16am

Hope has broken the record for amount of days to first fledge! Hope flew this morning at 10 weeks+2 days. The earliest time recorded by Gretchen was 10 weeks+5 days!
