Dad looked around.. he rolled the egg twice ad just as he was about to settle on it Mom came home.Dad went to BB and left... Mom attended to the egg .shimmies and is incubating it..

Hi again - Just touching base with Mom Thank-you for your late reports, Bev and Judy - and your long zoom, Gail

Mom was up a little while ago to roll the egg - and she rolled it several times as well as digging in the nest. Making that egg super safe!

When Mom settled back down, she was tail to the wind and it was catching her tail and blowing it up. So, she got up again and turned around - much better




She seems to be settled in and feeling quite secure now.

8:00pm I think Mom is sleeping - she hasn't moved for the last 5min or so.

All quiet here ...

Wow. What a wild day at the nest, eh? When I was telling David Hancock about the egg that was laid last night, I had no idea what was happening today. Hope the egg will hatch. David gets nervous when the egg is left uncovered for more than a few minutes. I won't tell him so he won't worry, as he as too much going on right now. Hopefully the behavior tomorrow and following days will be more normal for the Honeycombs.
