Thanks for the recap, Bev!
I wasn't watching when the first fish arrived, but with the second, Mom was up and mantling it, and making the sort of calls I associate as "get away from my food" - and I'm probably humanizing, but it felt to me as if Dad was torn between going to the egg to incubate (which would mean moving closer to Mom), or backing off so she could eat - and after looking for a few moments, chose to leave.
I think if Mom had grabbed the fish and left, he would have taken over incubating the egg.
1:29 pm
Dad just arrived, I think with some sort of food. Mom is on the egg, yelling at him. He's moving closer and looking under her.

He's moving around the nest and doing some minor nestoration - she continues to yell at him.
1:32 pm
Mom gets up - Dad immediately moves to the egg (that's him in the middle).

Mom is eating the new food while Dad is trying to remember how to settle down on the egg (or so it seems). At least he's sheltering it.

Oops - spoke too soon - he just left. Mom is quietly eating - but the egg is uncovered.

1:40 pm
Mom is continuing to eat this fish(?). This is a much more substantial meal, and I think she is very hungry. But I wish she hadn't urged Dad to leave - I'd feel much happier if the egg was covered.

1:42 pm
Mom is back and settling in on the egg. I think there are leftovers from both meals, though perhaps not a lot.
