Afternoon all! Hope you have all had a wonderful summer! Great that there has been an adult eagle spotted already! Left thumb up
Having a wee look around on the NPTZ and see no eagles - so far. It's pretty misty out there, so ....no white heads, though!

Lots of duck activity around the lone tree.

The NPTZ has a mind of it's own today...wants to go on the pan setting when left alone for a minute!!

12:34pm

A few more scaps...

Seems to be clearing a bit..!

ADD: 12:47pm I looked around one more time...all quiet out there, that I could tell...

OFF the NPTZ 12:48pm

Are the water levels normal for this time of the year? Yesterday while looking around was that seagulls I saw on the sand bars? I guess noone knows how the fishing is right now for the eagles?

The sockeye salmon counts are very low again this year but not to worry as they are usually gone by the time the huge numbers of eagles congregate out on the flats in Nov. - Dec. The Harrison River has been named the Salmon Stronghold because it's the best river in Canada (maybe North America?) for salmon. It not only is home to all five species of salmon but also two trout species which many biologists now consider types of salmon as well. So when there is a low run of one type there are many other fish out there for the eagles, gulls, bears, coyotes, etc.
