Do you know if the Honeycombs hung around the nest area like this in the past? I read below there are 6 other nesting pairs of Eagles in the surrounding area, would they hang around the golf course? I guess these eagles could be strangers and just passing through?

Hi Heather ... We will never know for sure if they are the Honeycombs until we see them on the nest ! Smile

Re Migration

THe Honeycombs and all the eagles from this area head north towards northern BC and Alaska ... they will stay around the coast and rivers where salmon starts to spawn..... as soon as the spawning occurs father south the eagles will follow those fish so they can feed of them............ the eagles will arrive back here at Harrison Mills..sometime around late September into October.......

The Harrison Mills area where the Honeycombs nest..... is noted for its abundance of spawning fish from late October into December........ and what is so breathtaking is that thousands of eagles from all over have been seen during this time...and they usually stay around until the fish are gone ,they will then move on to their own territories and nesting areas.

Yay, Bev! It's good to see you back! Pretty quiet this morning! I just took a look around on the south cam and no sight of eagles anywhere.
