This has been a busy morning with the eagles staying around the nest most of the morning. They have been bringing in more nesting material. Thunder brought in food for Blair and waited for her. She came to the nest later and ate it. I am getting excited with the matings being seen at the nest more often now. Blair has been staying close to the nest too. Since we don't know her history we will just have to keep watch and celebrate whenever that first egg arrives.

Good morning. Thanks erikas9999 for the picture of the unwelcome napper in the nest overnight. That raccoon was big and stayed all night. The eagles chased it off the nest when they arrived.

Unfortunately the eagles have not visited the nest tree since they chased the raccoon off. They are probably out having breakfast.
