incubating.

No signs from the adults that a pip is underway ... hopefully
in the nest day or two we see some signs as the baby starts
its way to freeing itself from the egg.

Doreen was great talking with you tonight; so glad we were able to resolve your computer issues with the help of Edgar

Belle has been restless tonight ... up and down
off her eggs ... seems likely that she hears her baby
or feels movement from within the egg ... could be we
are in the early stages of a hatch at this nest hooray!!!

Good Morning Doreen and Friends

It is Day 36 for the first egg and based on the behavior of the adults it seems like that we are in the early stages of a hatch.

The adults keep fussing and re-positioning themselves and they seem to be looking at the eggs more often and listening.

No visual signs of a pip yet but hard to tell too from the distance we are looking from.

There was a switch from Mom to Dad at 0654 hours this morning then another switch to Mom at 1215 hours.
The adults are taking turns and they seem restless while incubating and fussing with the egg bedding and looking at the eggs so
we expect they can hear the babies chipping or moving from within the egg.

Lots of soft signs that a hatch is underway; in this collage Belle is up frequently checking the eggs and listening to them.

I am sure i heard peeps at 157 pm coming from the eggs here are some captures from a collage i did.

Sorry i never got back here tonight ... i had to go into work for awhile.

Belle is on the nest incubating the eggs tonight.
We did get several views of the eggs today; both were intact
but one or both eggs may have a pip ... saw what looked like a pip
a few times.

Also heard peeps coming from the eggs a few times today.
Exciting ... soon we will have sweet baby chicks at this nest.

Now i am off to bed for the night and tomorrow i head north for a couple of days.
I will not be able to check in as i will not have cell service or wifi services so i will be
in the dark until i get home.

I will call you Doreen for an update tomorrow night if i can.

Good Morning Doreen & Friends

It is Day 37 for the first egg - We got a partial view of the eggs earlier this morning and we can see that the pip is getting larger; the lil one has made great progress since yesterday! Here is a capture taken from Terri Bayles video ... thanks Terri for the terrific video.

Belle is also sitting up higher on the eggs this morning; nearly sitting in a brood position. Hopefully we get another peek at the eggs soon! Dad will likely be delivering a fish soon ... so eggciting we will soon have a new little bobblehead aka eaglett here!
