Morning Doreen and NCTC Friends wave

Sorry i have not posted for a few days ... busy with year end so i have been too busy to post but i have been watching all weekend.

Last night at dark ... there was something a miss at the nest not sure what was going on but Belle came to the nest with a spot on her head ... is it dirt or debris or a different female ... just not sure.

Background
Belle has had a very faint dark spot on her head and neck but it has always been a faint marking perhaps a small cluster of dark feathers underneath the white ... only visible at certain times depending on her movement and lighting at the nest.

Last night there was something off ... when Dad came to the nest there were sharp calls from the attic ... then Belle did not come to the nest till after dark ... and she appeared to have a dark spot on her head ... was it dirt debris or another adult? It was too dark to see details ... clearly something seemed off to me.

This morning on FB i saw pictures posted where the dark spot was visible again ... i guess we will have to wait and see what develops here ... do we have another adult in the mix or is it Belle ... too early to tell! Birds do get dirty as we know from time to time ... due to hunting fishing and getting into stuff.

I will post some pictures now.

Jan 22 2017 - NCTC Eagles

415 pm Dad has been on the nest for awhile now then Mom joined him at nest, Dad just left again!
Looks like Bellle is sporting some small dark spots on top of her head ... could be wounds ... debris or otherwise ... need a better look but looks like Belle to me!

Noticed her small white patch that is mixed in with her dark feathers on her side too .... would like a better look at her front!

428 pm - Dad is back ... both birds seem relaxed and calm!

432 on - Someone is in the open field walking birds see them too! Belle is tracking the person lol. Cam is buffering jumping at times.
Dad flew up to perch stump above nest! Mom remains in the nest she is tracking something. Then poof Dad is gone again!

442 pm - Dad returns with a new branch ... together they carry it then Dad moves it himself!

Belle moves nest center does some digging then plops herself down in the nest! Dad does some restorations!

459 pm
Dad left then returned with a new branch both are doing restorations to the rail regions, Mom at 10 o'clock and Dad at 2 o'clock... great team work!

507 pm
Belle exited the nest ... Dad continues to work on the nest!
The cam buffers and stalls at times! Dad is on a mission today 😂

520 pm
Dad did lots of work to the crib rails between 1 and 3 o'clock he is now perched on the new rails just near the stump now maybe testing the strength... Dad moves to nest. Enter does some digging in the floor of the nest bowl!

533 pm
Dad exits the nest ... noises heard from nearby maybe attic!

550 pm
Dark and quiet at the nest.

Well it was busy on the nest before dark; Dad arrived first he did restorations then Belle joined him on the nest.
No mating but the birds were relaxed and multi-tasking doing repairs to the nest.
Both of them worked on the rails and Dad was really on a mission tonight he did lots of repairs.

Someone was walking thorough the field and the birds noticed that person too.
