Doreen Hope you had a good day at work

Seems like there is still an intruder in the nest territory; i think it may be the immature adult we saw in Dec or it could be the adult that visited too ...

Terri posted a video of a fly by and chase in the field near the nest .... hard to id the birds but definitely two in flight.

The birds visited before dark; Dad visited twice; on his first visit he delivered bedding to the nest and he was on the alert about something. Calling trilling on arrival then after a bit he settled down. Mom later joined him at the nest (I think she was parked in attic prior to that).

The birds visited the nest earlier this morning per FB.

Nest is currently MT.
No sign of our resident pair.

hi John, Deb. hope things are going well after the weekend, had a decent work weekend and glad it's over. supposed to get some messy weather starting tomorrow, hope it is not too bad as I am working tomorrow and will be driving home at 9pm, they're calling for snow, ice etc. then Wed. morning have a dr apt out of town in Derry at 10am ! oh well, will just crawl along slowly and get home safely Tues. night. hope you two are having decent weather, and Deb ty for the nice hot tea and goodies. hoping both of you have a good day tomorrow, don't work too hard either of you

watched the nest a bit tonight just before coming in, Smitty was on the nest about 512pm, then mom flew in and Smitty did a little chanting, no mating though, they moved a few things on nest, argued who was the boss. Belle let dad think he was, but when she has the desire, she shows him she is and always was the boss took a few scaps for everyone

loved moms crash landing, they should clear some junk off the nest, it has shrunk.

they stayed about 6 or 8 minutes I think, not sure how long dad was there before I came on, then mom joined him so seems the visit was around 8 minutes. looked at your pics on BE101 Deb, very nice

Hope your appt went well.

I try to post in both places but sometimes i only get to one or the other ... need more hours in a day

The resident pair visited before dark ... part of their routine now as they get closer to egg laying.
