Love the wing shots Bet andLOL grinning at Dad's stick placement. I was also doing yard work and tuned in again at 8:30 pm to see Mom in the near corner of the nest. She moved a small stick and then went mid-nest before returning to the corner. Mom seemed to be "just hangin" and waiting for Dad.

Darn...I looked away for a minute and Mom was gone by 9:06 pm. Sure enough Dad flew in with a fish at
9:07. He left with it in less than a minute and they flew back in together whereupon Mom took the fish and departed while Dad remained on the nest for a few minutes feaking his beak and showing off his very full crop.

At 9:15 a bike with headlight streaked by and Dad followed (in hot pursuit?) Grin

The nest has remained empty as it is now quite dark and another "streaker" flashes by heading downriver this time. I'm wondering if these lit passersby will disrupt the osprey once the young are here, guess time will tell.Good night

Wow, great pics and posts from today Bet, JD and Judy ...Bet, I loved the beautiful wing scaps and still chuckling at the
stick episode.....my goodness Dad can be so .....well Dad. love JD, I am so glad that you saw Dad bring in a late supper fish for Mom.
An excellent day here, I too hope that once we have chicks that the closer proximity to all this human activity doesn't pose a threat to them.

10:58 pm
Beautiful moonlight reflection on the river....really good view of the nest for this time of night too....wow!

Good morning Everyone. Thanks for the wonderful observations and pictures yesterday. It is sooo good to see everyone back for the season.

7:14 a.m.
I am posting the time I take the shots but I notice that the Enmax clock is 2 1/2 minutes behind.
Both on the nest this morning.

I did turn the cam on for a minute last night when I got home and could hardly believe how much light there is in that area of the zoo. Are there big light standards situated that close by ?

7:17 am
Dad just flew off and Mom remains on the nest.

7:18 am
Dad's back with a small bit of grass for the nest. Just after he set it in the bowl he pushed it down with his breast and that is the shot I missed. Wasn't long before he flew off again.

Dad doing more construction on the nest.
Mom has been hanging out doing not much of anything since I turned on the camera.

Lots of morning commuters on the trail this morning. The O's definitely take notice but don't seem to mind.

Both reacted to someone flying overhead. It must have come quite close because they both ducked as it went over.

Dad doing his duty.
I love how he balls up his talons so he doesn't injure Mom. He is a sweetheart.
