A great horned owl visited the nest in the middle of the night. Sure looked interested in settling there. George and Martha had better be on the lookout. |

George and Martha visited nest and moved a few sticks. Something bothered Martha and she sounded alert to show her displeasure. |

George and Martha have started coming to the nest almost every morning and working on the rails. Here is Martha examining the camera while waiting for George to bring another stick. |

George brought the fish, Martha ate the fish. |

George brought a small prey to the nest and Martha whined and begged for it. He refused. Something sent them on alert, then Martha made a move toward the prey. George mantled and protected it. |

Both came to the nest this morning and dug a bit in the egg cup. After a bit of beaking, George laid down on the cup and started pulling grass around him. Sure looks anxious to incubate some eggs. |
