What wonderful news! Pa and Lady have started a family. I read back and see that the tree trimming was done carefully. Stan and Annemie, thank you for your reports, pictures showing this new wonder.
It's a new start, yeah for them and you too!

Dream on Pa, a new year has come,
you found your Lady, or she found you,
so that you will soon no longer be two,
and no one will be blue.

Annemie, Stan and Christine it is always a treat to read what you can watch at the nest, or in the skies as you so vividly shared Annemie. Seeing Ma and Pa together in the nest tree and on the nest must warm the heart after observing what Pa went through last summer after losing Ma.
Thank you for the Easter greetings. I hope you all had a Happy Easter as well.

Happy Easter Monday everyone,
Pa was in the community garden about 15 minutes ago, digging around in someone's plot, he had something in his talons when he flew back to the Pandora nest where Lady was. So lucky I was at the window to catch that.

thanks Karen It was also mentioned to me that would we name one of the bobbles Terry RIP seeing she was so devoted to this Lafarge/Pandora eagles nest for so many years and I said I would ask David through you or JudyB

Hi Judi - This is the first I've heard of any such suggestion. Although that would be a nice tribute to Terry, we don't normally give the eagles a human name, especially since something could happen to one and then we'd feel really badly. We did name a couple of the Delta 2 eaglets in memory of Richard - Linux, Goldwing and Tux, but none of them were named Richard. We also don't give the eaglets a gender specific name as there's no way to know if they are a boy or a girl. The last time we had a naming contest Terry wanted the only remaining eaglet to be name Fargo. We shall have to wait and see what transpires this season. It's far too early to be talking about names.

Just realized I called Lady, Ma. Might be a bit premature for that, but soon hopefully.
Happy Easter!

Hi Christine. Not only is it too early for Lady to become a mom, I don't think we will ever call her 'Ma Lafarge'. There was only one like her. Lady is a great name and I think most of our members who loved Ma will continue to call the new female Lady.

Wow amazing pics of the eagles!
I just visited the nest and at first no one was home, but a couple minutes later they both flew in, and one had a fish. So they are eating well tonight. Which reminds me I should get my own dinner started : )
