3:23 Both together. First time seen together today. I was hoping Pa might be brooding. His throat is still quite darkened. Can enlarge.

I am a bit surprised - I was thinking they were getting very close to eggs (and perhaps they are) - but we haven't seen any work done on the artificial nest (AN) - and I haven't seen any sticks headed to the roof of the LB, or to anywhere that we can see with the cams - and I'd think there would be a last-minute spurt of nestorations before it's time for eggs. On the other hand, the Harrison Mills pair spent a lot of time at the nest for a while yesterday, then Mom spent hours perched by the river while Dad continued to work on the nest - and today there have only been a couple of quick visits - so it may be a matter of looking at the right time. A while ago we got a ground report that they were busy with sticks in the mornings at the Pandora nest and they've been seen in the nest there, eating, sleeping in the tree recently. I think the feeling is that is where they've chosen to raise their family.

That would be my guess, Sandra - and they may not show up to work on the nest at the same time each day - making it harder to catch them in the act, so to speak. I am very glad that we do have people in the area who can keep an eye on them! Left thumb up

I'm getting a black screen now - and the cam just came back as I typed that!

But it is time for dinner - I'll try to check back later.

4:40 It seems like a long time since we've seen Lady show us her feet. Pa's blackened throat.

I'm thinking Pa isn't trying to match Lady's wing, and this is just a feather sticking out.

So that is where they are - I have been checking the Pandora nest for the past 2 hours hoping they'd show upůmaybe tomorrow morning?

There are times, Eastvan Girl, that it's hard to believe that they don't know we're watching - and are doing things to tease us!

But more seriously, it does seem that sometimes they do spend time away from the nest as they get close to egg-laying, perhaps because on some sort of instinctive level, they know they'll be spending a lot of time there soon.
