NEST ACTIVITY - SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th
It's the weekend!! So glad u joined us today! Good morning!
5:00 both are tucked and on the outer attic branch.
6:12 Harriet is tucked while M15 is looking around.
6:30 I arrived to the nest at 6:10. Short vocals at 6:23, 6:25, 6:27 & 6:29
6:58 Greeting vocals. They both turned south on the branch.
Harriet drops to the nest followed by M15.
7:03 H to porch, M15 to attic.
7:06 mating vocals. M15 on top of H but loses balance. Hips beside H then down a branch
7:09 M15 flies NW toward the power poles. Harriet flies NW shortly after that
7:17 Harriet is on the higher power pole. M15 is on the lower pole
7:20-7:50 Both are facing NW. Harriet vocalizes some.
Both have been preening and watching the area.
7:52 Harriet flies to the south. M15 follows her.
8:24 thanks Linda. I checked yonder pond - on the way back to the nest
I saw one bringing a large piece of moss, maybe stick too from west pasture.
Both were in the nest when I got set up again. Now M15 is in attic, H in nest.
7:45 H to west pasture, flying quickly through the trees.
Perched in tree mid pasture tree line. Vocalizing and bobs head.
8:53 H drops down to a different branch. Perches on thin branch.
Knows what she wants and finally breaks off the end instead flying back to the nest with it.
M15 watching from attic.
9:16 M15 flies to the NW zig zagging as he crossed over the tree line.
H quiet, just watching that direction.
9:36 Harriet tracks NW. Hops to the porch. Vocalizing, looking NW.
10:05 Harriet vocalizing, calling with a heads-up. Tracking SW.
10:14 Harriet with another heads-up vocal. She is not looking NW anymore, just west and SW.
10:18 Harriet flies quickly to the SW landing in one of the trees.
She hops to one or two different branches before flying away to the south behind the tree line.
10:45 I checked the trees in the area and yonder pond again.
No eagles seen or heard. I am headed home.
wskrnwngs & FlaNative for your observations this morning and always!

I can't edit my post above for grammar (there's an exercise for you), because the system says I'm posting spam

Good Morning
They were adorable this morning. I think they both jumped down into the nest. I had the sme same thought about zooming cam 2 because the aerial view is difficult for me to watch. I am thinking it will be a different story though when/if we are watching eaglets!
