Which ever eagle was with Harriet this morning, he seemed familiar to her. That should rule out yet another new male. My preference is M15/FV - since Harriet invested a lot of training over the summer. One thing is for certain, though - the drama never really ends! At any rate, it looks promising for a productive nest season.

SWFEC Facebook has officially announced the male Eagle sharing the branch with Harriet this morning is M15 (FV). Bittersweet but glad he is okay and wish Harriet success.

Everything in moderation.

Essec09: Thank you to all the photographers who shared their photos of M15. With the closeups taken today and comparing them with these photos, we all enjoyed a visit from M15 at the nest this morning with Harriet. Will he stay? Only they know. There may be other males visiting Harriet in the future - as eagles turn their thoughts toward breeding. an eagle without a bonded mate may have a few to choose from. Chat is paused at this time.

This was posted on chat a few minutes ago. I'm curious as to how we'll know when Harriett is with a bonded mate?

Still missing Ozzie but so happy M15 is back! I hope Slim is young enough to not want to fight for the nest and Harriett. I don't think I could handle another fight!!

Very Happy .. What a roller coaster ride we have had with this wonderful nest! Learning so much new information about eagle behavior and having all our preconceived notions nixed. Welcome back M15..I hope you stay. And if you do, I will let bygones be bygones....and just ask that you take good care of Harriet and your eaglets when they come. Egg hatch: Red Heart

There is nothing more beautiful than an eagle.

This is wonderful news. I so hoped M15 was just off healing.. The year there were many females contending for Pa Norfolk they would often disappear for 2-3 weeks and then suddenly show up again.
