Mom's settled, quiet.....



Something has happened out there....Mom sounds upset....she keeps calling out......its too dark at the perch where
Dad was....I don't think he is there .....I hear a crying eagle out there in the dark, it's calling non stop.....it sounds farther out

oh my gosh.....I hope Dad is alright.....
Mom started alerts here

and I still hear the crying at 8:49 pm!!

Mom was calling over and over and over....she did not get up off the eggs....
the eagle crying stopped at around 8:50 pm ......no....there it is again....8:52 pm I wish it wasn't dark out there.....omg....

Mom is so upset, looking off nest... she's really listening and looking
up off the eggs, to the runway......I can hear an eagle calling closer now

She is leaving! 8:56 pm

8:57pm Oh.....my gosh, Dad is here....I can see the tail stripe I can hear Mom calling/alerting out in the not too far distance


moves in quickly to settle on the eggs

8:59 pm --lots of trilling by Mom out there

Dad is crying quietly....and Mom just came back
he doesn't want to get off the eggs....I hope he is alright and not hurt....I think there could have been a fight out there in the dark!
His posture is odd....kind of like he's mantling/protective?


9:04 pm Mom is alerting again!

9:06 pm they are both so upset
Mom wants Dad to get up....she finally moves close to him, gives him a nudge to get up


9:07 pm He is moving slowly towards the BB, seems to be moving fine, no limps or wings out for balance.
Mom moves right in to the eggs and is tending to them

Off Dad goes....

Mom shimmied down

There he is .....looking all about....I can't believe there is so much night-time flying going on!

He leaves quietly from there...no other eagle sounds heard out there
