I visited the Pat Bay area this afternoon but did not see Ma or Pa anywhere Sad Work continues on the embankment around Pat Bay.

Larry my photo with the moon over the eagles's head is the eagle from the nest I call the Victoria Airport nest. The nest tree is actually on private property overlooking the beach near Sidney, close to the Washington State ferry dock. I visited that nest today and got a few pics of the female eagle perched at the top of the nest tree Left thumb up

Visited Pat Bay yesterday. Ma and Pa were perched in the same tree in the new subdivision south of the reserve. This seems to be their new favourite perch. There were fish jumping close to shore where the creek empties into the bay. I think they may have had a good feed. Pix to follow.

Ma and Pa yesterday. I love how these pictures show the size differences. Ma's beak is much deeper than Pa's.

Pa on the left and Ma on the right. Another beautiful fall day!

I went to Pat Bay this afternoon in the gorgeous sunshine WooHoo The first time I drove around the area there was no sign of Ma or Pa. I had a good look when I came back from the winery but still no sign of them. After I went to the Roberts Bay nest area I decided to go back & have another look as I thought they might be there later in the day. I parked across the road from the new development and I could see the tree at the corner of the Epicure property. It looked like something was at the top of the tree and sure enough both Ma & Pa were perched side by side Clapping They sat there looking around & at each other, watching & listeninng to all the crows that were in the trees at the top of the beach. I didn't see anything down the bank but the tide was right up to the boulders that are there now. I'll be back later with some pix.

A few pics of Ma & Pa this afternoon, perched together at the top of the tree in the south corner of the Epicure property. They were keeping watch over their territory and watching the many crows making a racket in the trees at the top of the beach. Different poses with Ma on right Wub The forum won't let me attach 3 photos in a post; I keep getting a 'Bad Request' message that the forum server could not understand. More pics in the next post.

Last 2 pics. I realized my pics were too large (file size) and once I reduced them they posted OK.

Taken from across the road on the opposite side of the tree.

Thanks Bev. It sure was a treat to see them together yesterday WooHoo It was the first time I had seen them since they came back to their nest territory and I probably won't see them again until after Christmas.

Thank You Sandra. I just kept snapping away, hoping I would get some pics showing their differences in size, beaks, etc. They are such a loving pair Left thumb up
