Hey Bev - If you're looking for us when zooming, look along the line of trees on the right side of #14 green as that is one of the few good places for ground observers to actually see the extremely high nest. To explain where #14 is, it's the green on the right of the nest tree when you are looking out towards the Harrison River. We might also be seen walking down by the river but it's not a great place for us to actually be able to see the nest that far away.

Lovely pics of Judy, Charlie, and the Pandora eagles Sharon. You were missed today.
It was a lot of fun seeing some familiar faces and meeting many previously only known through their forum posts. Smile
I'm setting the bar pretty low for eagle pics today but it was the best I could get. They were a little uncooperative! Titter
Both wingercising.

This was the closest I got to seeing an entire eagle but it was still an excellent day.

Hello Everyone,

It was so good to see everyone today! Sharon I'm sorry you couldn't make it today. We really missed you. Judy B and Charlie, it was so nice to finally meet you! I loved your song! David, Karen, Darlene, Sandra and David, Annemie and Stan, Larry, Danny Chan, Marj, Marg and Earl, Lynda. If I had half a memory, I would list all of your names, so I apologize for leaving anyone out, but it's always great to get together with people that have such a strong love for the wonderful Bald Eagle.

Scott, I think your bar for pictures today is higher than mine. They're awesome!
Shortly after we arrived at the Sandpiper this morning Karen and David joined us, as well as a few others. With lunch a couple hours away, we decided to take a walk down one of the trails, to peek at the nest. Both youngsters were sitting out on a branch, well hidden amongst the foliage. While one youngster was peeking out at us, it's sibling stayed hidden. You could just barely see the tail hanging down from the branch.

After a short time, the wing flapping started. Baby number one started with the flapping, making small hops along the branch he/she was sitting on.

I got a kick out of these two. It was almost like they were competing with one another to show off to us what each other could do, because one would no sooner finish flapping it wings then the other one would start. When baby number two finished flapping his/her wings, it was like baby number one said, 'Oh yeah!! Watch this'.

Followed by a perfect landing!

Just as baby one landed in the nest, baby two started to flap her/his wings.

After a while, both babies were back on the branches, amongst the foliage.

It's plain to see that these two won't be around for long. I wouldn't be surprised if they were gone by the weekend.

We then made a quick visit to the gazebo before heading back for lunch, where we met up with the rest of the clan.
