It is a lovely view, Bev, but I'm not sure if those are chicks - some of them might be adults a ways away. I'm thinking chicks are one color for a while - but I do watch a lot of cams, so am easily confused.
Gabi and Ferenz - any idea what little penguin chicks look like? Thanks!

IrishEyes, the gentoos you watched (yellow circle, red arrow) are adults.
The 3 or 4 hatched chicks at the basement may be just 2-3 days old!

HI everyone... Ferenz, Gabi and all.............
I watched the March of the Penguins on TV last night..... incredible documentary and i learned so much.... i was fascinated... I had no idea that the Males took over the incubation of the eggs after the Females laid them...
Hi Bev are you sure that only Gentoo penguins male incubate the eggs? Usually both male and female share the incubation. Studies have shown that both took turns in breeding in a rhythm of two days, Martin Grund says !
Gentoo penguins do not march.
I think you mean Emperor penguins which do not have nests
