HI everyone... Ferenz, Gabi and all.............

I watched the March of the Penguins on TV last night..... incredible documentary and i learned so much.... i was fascinated... I had no idea that the Males took over the incubation of the eggs after the Females laid them...

It is a lovely view, Bev, but I'm not sure if those are chicks - some of them might be adults a ways away. I'm thinking chicks are one color for a while - but I do watch a lot of cams, so am easily confused.

Gabi and Ferenz - any idea what little penguin chicks look like? Thanks!

Thank you JudyB.... You are right.. last night when i watched the March of the Penguins the chicks were one color.... what was i thinking... very embarrassed

I scrolled back to my posting in Storchenhof-Loburg-Forum from 09.01.2013,
JudyB & IrishEyes:

I didn't find detailed info about the size of chicks, but you can estimate it because
adult penguins reach 75-80 cm (30-31 in) in length.

The chicks may have 1/5 of the adults length I guess -> ~15cm
.
