Good morning Ferenz. I certainly have to agree with you. It is great to have them home.

8:42 am
Mom flew off --- returned --- Dad wasted no time mating with her.

Both flew off.

8:44 am
Mom returned and Dad is still out doing his Dad thing. As I typed that Mom decided to leave again.
Nest is empty.

....I must leave.
Have a good day everyone !

Good morning all --

Thank you Judy for all the updates this morning (with a mating too!) and Ferenz, so nice to see you, very nice scaps..
...I was watching on and off when I could, and what a difference in regards to the nest....that Dad is a stick bringing machine!!

9:59 am ....Dad is working so hard with the wonky, awkward sticks

Morning All

Busy Dad bringing stick after stick. Sort of unorganized looking for now. I reviewed my morning video. Only noted the one mating that Judy reported earlier. The two of them have seemed to go on defensive alert a few times, but the view did not show the enemy.

To help ID them from the rear view, I made a composite image. To me the rear head markings are stylized birds. Dad's has a stretched up neck and not a lot of wing width. Mom's has the same head but the wing area is deeper - more of a delta shape.

What is it with the forum and log in. Every time I bring it up, I have to login again. And I just made a post, submitted it and the forum kicked me out to a login page and denied my login!!!! Mad

There was another mating at 2:24 pm MDT amidst the bringing in sticks.

These two are so bonded to each other they move in synchronization and frequently stand together as if joined at the hip

They are no stuffing what appears to be a haphazard lack of arrangement of the sticks with moss. So there is evidently a method to the mess.

Another mating took place at 3;22 MDT

wave Greetings all!

I did see a mating at 1:51 pm to add to today's tally and later Dad was landing very close to Mom looking like he was eager and willing but he seems to know that she is very tired from her journey home. They were busy late morning and early afternoon fending off unseen pests which I suspect were the magpies.

And of course Dad has been in and out with those sticks all day and it looks like he is leaving them for Mom to arrange when she is ready. Imo, Mom may have been more receptive to his advances had he fortified her with a few more fish. giggle But I know he is overjoyed at having her home and as you say, BET, they look like they are joined at the hip today.

5:28 pm Ah, another mating but not sure that Mom raised her tail in time. Now it looks like she is giving him orders or perhaps he has to fight off intruders once again. Well, - he returned with another small stick so the building supplies continue to pour in. Rolling on floor laughing

I'm sorry that you didn't learn until this morning that Mom had arrived, Judy. Thanks for all the s'caps and reports. hug And thanks for the collage, BET, showing the head patterns from behind, it all helps.

5:38 pm Mom is standing on the left river corner and a minte later Dad flew in with a nice wad of grass for her.love

Visited our 'children' this afternoon 200-330pm ish MST
BOTH Mom and Dad sooooo busy with sticks/grass delivery but no fish delivery
So much activity at first, coming and going. Both were flying all around us. Mating at 220pm
Dad sat on the adjacent pole afterwards and Mom did lots of squawking.... as we do... lol
Notice all the branches which are sticking out under the nest !!!
Crows, ravens not around and causing any disturbances thankfully.
Very windy this afternoon and the pics not too clear
That was funny Carolyn, yes I did finish my taxes in time, thank heavens !!
