We all humanize a bit JudyB! How can you not after watching these eagle families as long as we have? Thanks Judy and Lynne for the great pictures! My poor computer is having Flash Player problems and I can't watch any of the cams or videos. Rant:

Oh Judy so true, we shouldn't humanize but I agree with Mary and you.. hard not to when you watch them in these conditions.. We have 6or 7 inches and they are now calling for a foot or more in my area about 45 mins south of the nest.. and they are still saying it will turn to sleet and freezing rain yet too.. ugh..
I always try to remember.. they deal with this and worse in Alaska so, hang on Mom tomorrow is another day Smile
Mary hope your flash works soon.. sigh sign

Mom up for a big stretch

Then stood on the back of the nest for a minute, and I thought she might take a quick flight around the neighborhood to stretch her wings

But she settled back down to incubate her eggs. She is so dedicated. love

Keeping fingers crossed that the weather will be better than expected. In my experience, they almost always come through this OK, and eggs are much less vulnerable to cold than chicks - so here's hoping!

(Slightly off-topic - MsO posted a great video of the mom at River Farm, Virginia, dealing with the snow - forum/viewtopic.php?topic=742293#742293 - looks as if they also got lots and lots of snow.)

Good morning!

Nice to see Dad taking a turn now that the snow has stopped.

11:23 am
I'm not sure which one was incubating - but the other one arrived with some more nest material. The one on the nest had an interesting pose - sort of stretched out on one side.

I liked this view of the two of them.

Then the new arrival moved around the nest, the one who had been nesting got up, the incoming adult took over, and the other one flew off to the back just after this s'cap.
