Thanks for sharing the article here, Lynne - glad to see they are looking into it, and with a bit of luck it will remind other volunteers to be very specific about how close someone can be.

Good Morning Judy, MaryF, Bev and all who enjoy the Hanover eagles!

I have been watching for a possible third egg.. snowing and going to be all day with mixed weather possible tonight into tomorrow.. just plain yuck!!
Judy, don't you just feel for an eagle sitting on a nest in the snow? This is their kind of weather but us humans just shiver Wink

I only got a quick peek, but it looked like two eggs to me.

I did see her turn them before she settled down, and am pretty sure there wasn't one hiding.

Three chicks can be fun to watch when things are going well - but there are more ways that things can be less than happy, so I think I'm glad that it looks as if we're starting out with two eggs here. Smile

It would be nice if Dad would take a shift - but he's not as big as Mom, so it is better that she stays there until the snow stops as she can keep a larger area snow-free.

I saw Mom calling - and Dad came

But I guess Mom decided it was still snowing enough that she didn't want to leave the eggs, so Dad left.

Or maybe she sent him to the grocery store. Smile

Mom was up turning the eggs.

The branches she normally grabs to help snuggle down on the eggs are covered in snow - so now her beak is covered in snow. love

I have the impression that she is not amused (though I realize that is humanizing, and what looks like a scowl to me is just one of her normal expressions being colored by my perceptions).
