Oh no, what a tragedy to lose 2 more eaglets My heart goes out to all the dedicated members of the ground crew who have watched and reported on these eagles Sending hugs to everyone involved in this heartbreaking tragedy, especially to Stan and Annemie. You must have been very devasted to see the nest down and to find the dead eaglet Bless your hearts for making sure it was kept safe until Angela could take it to O.W.L. I am in tears thinking of poor Ma & Pa wondering what happened to their nest and their babies

Annemie, Stan, everyone who loves and follows this nest ~~ for you all, huge healing

My words cannot even begin to explain how my heart is feeling for you all ....just so broken at this tragic loss of 2 more beautiful eaglets, and poor Mom and Dad....again losing their little ones nature seems so unfair
I can't imagine how devastatingly difficult that must have been to be there and know that all that could have been done, was done....those last images just have me in tears, but I just wanted to send you my love and support, for you to know that you are in my thoughts as well....please take care......

Today I am thinking:" Why have I not ask the fire department for help"
The thought that I might have been able to help after all and did not, lays heavy on my shoulders.

I phoned the fire department and asked them if they would have come and rescue the little let and they said no.
Now that I think about it, David, Jean, Karen or for example Martina from O.W.L would have told me to phone the fire department,
if that had been an option.
Again, I am really sorry for all of us that have suffered because of loosing the eaglets again this year.

3:58pm............Annemie............stop that. Don't dwell in the world of "what if". You and Stan did your best...............we all saw that 1 eaglet there...............we did not cause it to happen. It is too bad, but we learn from our experiences...............file that information away for future reference and let is go.

Annemie I suspect it would have been illegal to intervene until the eaglet was on the ground. Otherwise I'm sure David H would have been up there asap. Respecting the law the firemen likely wouldn't have gone up to make the rescue. I wonder.

I am sure time will heal.
I love what Martin Luther King said:

'We must accept finite disappointment but we must never lose infinite hope....'

He and his people sure went to a lot and I find his words very helpful.
Also every one that wrote in has warmed my heart.

I am overwhelmed with all the love that is going around on this forum.
