Thank you so much for posting the news.
Stan and I go by their favorite trees three to four times a week and it will be awesome seeing them again. We will definitely keep our eyes out for our Hastings Eagles.

Some serious twig gathering around 1pm, the male seemed to working at original tree but female was taking twigs back to last years location.

I have seen the Hastings eagles flying about the last few days.
I can see them all from my living room window.

Two Juvenile's were seen yesterday at Canuck's house by a lady named Linda Aston.
Canuck is the famous Vancouver crow.

One eaglet was chased by crows all around the power lines, and it looked very dangerous.
A 2nd eaglet was circling overhead the whole time, observing the situation.

Both eaglets finally did fly North over to Hastings park, a 5 min. walk from Canuck's place.

Stan and I have been looking for a possible new nest location but have not seen anything so far.

The danger evident in your pictures had me worried for the youngster. I can't imagine following such activity live! Good news of the return of our Hastings couple. Another start of year hoping for a more solid nest for them for a more successful nesting season! Thank you for the pictures Annemie and Linda!

I received a tip from Annemie that Diana and Mike had spotted both the Hastings pair recently and the makings of their new nest

Braving the wind chill and armed with my binoculars I spotted the new nest today. The new nest is at the exact same location in the tree as the fallen nest from last years season. Not quite finished but coming along. Hopefully it will stay up this year once complete!
