Our survivor is sure an impressive flyer Nodding yes

Around the same time each evening it heads back {with several "friends" in tow} over our place to the trees near the fallen nest. This is the same time the adults come in for the evening.

wave Hi Stim, JudyB. (nice to see both of you here ), and all lovers of these eagles.

Yes Stim, it is sad to see all these dead, uneaten birds under the nest tree. Funny that other animals are not eating them.

Thank you Judy for keeping your fingers crossed, Survivor needs all the help he can get. Nodding yes

Survivor is quite content. Left thumb up
His/her favorite tree now is the 3rd tree east of the exit from the park unto Hastings tree.
Survivor chose this tree because s/he can see around the whole area a lot better.

We see Survivor flying at regular intervals around the area and also above our house.
The poor chick gets attacked something fierce by seagulls and dozen's of crows when s/he fly's about.
Uncountable amount of crows are meeting at Hastings park to fly to their night rusts.
Not good for our Survivor. Don't Panic

As Stan mentioned, Survivor is the most amazing acrobatic flyer I have ever seen. Bravo
The seagulls actually peck his/her head when s/he flies. Cry
When that happens, Survivor will do a spin and drop. Clapping
It works every time and leaves me in awe. love
Seeing 5 uneaten gull babies and crow babies under the tree, I am not surprised.

We see Ma and Pa visiting their eaglet daily. Sitting eagleSitting eagle

I like to call the eaglet, that did fly over the rainbow bridge Sunny Sunshine Sunny.
S'he was a real Mama baby and loved to sit with Ma.

Sunny Sunshine Sunny made us happy and deserves to have a name. Red Heart

Annemie, I love the names Sunshine and Survivor. Very appropriate.

I am happy you like the names Karen, thanks.

Yesterday Survivor flew over my house and flew right over my head super low.
Then Survivor did a few circles around me still flying very low, and then flew no, sailed to the nest. Wub
What an elegant flyer. Bravo

This time there were no other birds pestering him/her which was very nice.

I really think that Survivor must have recognized me as the lady under his nest and came close to have a good look at me.

Three years ago the Hastings eagles were doing the same thing. I was imitating their eaglets and all of the sudden both parents flew to where I stood and checked me out real good. Nodding yes

What great pictures of Survivor in the tree and even flying, Annemie. Good to see a video as well. Thanks. David is in touch with the 'powers that be' to get a new nest started for Ma and Pa Hastings.
