Yes we stopped here first on our local nest tour today and were rewarded with some good views of them both this time Sandra. When we left one was still in serious duty on the center of the nest. Annemie should have some nice photos from our visit Smile

Hi Scott, Stim and all

These pictures were taken at about 3:30 pm.
I was so happy to see the new very well build nest with one of the eagles sitting in the nest.

Eagle is looking at something in the nest.

Eagle is still looking at something in the nest while partner came flying in, sat on a branch above the nest and a little to the left, calling out.
( click 2x and it will be easier to see both eagles as the one eagle as a sitting behind a little branch )

One eagle flew south, the other went to sit in the nest again.

The nest is held up by at least 6 nice thick branches.

8:29pm........This sounds like really great news everyone! This pair has had such bad luck in the last while.............but this season is starting off on a positive note and I'm very glad to see they have a great chance of success this year! Thanks for all the pictures Annemie and all the super ground reports!

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time;............they have the heart..........Elizabeth Andrew

Thank you for the followup with pictures Annemie. No concerns about the nest, unlike last year! Good pictures of the nest and activity noted. Clapping
