The cormorants flew off, the geese started to call an alarm and started rolling nervously their long necks, mother duck swam under a bush with her thee ducklings,
and the crows started to gather together to scream at Hastings ma.
Dad was on the nest with the eaglets.
To our amazement there was a group of ducks swimming towards ma Hastings.

Ma ignored the ducks.
She drank a lot of water and did a bit of splashing around.
Then she sat at the log for another 10 minutes or more.
Suddenly ma flew off.
She knew exactly where she was going.
Ma flew toward a crows nest and took a baby crow.
By the time Stan and me arrived at the eagles nest, pa watched ma while she was feeding the baby crow to their eaglets.
Pa was well hidden from the camera as he is very good at this.
He was standing right behind ma.

When feeding was completed, pa flew off and ma went to her babysitting branch to dry her wings.
She struck a pose just for us, how sweet she looks.

While ma was drying her wings one of the eaglets did wing exercises.

Ma and her eaglets were enjoying the view of the park before it was time calling it a night.
Dad usually joins his family shortly after dusk.

The last picture is not in order, but it showed ma right after the feeding and pa was still hiding right behind ma.
You can see part of his chest.

Well it's funny to see them drying their wings in much the same manner as eagles do.

Hello Everybody,

Wonderful pictures and report Annemie! I'm sorry I haven't been unable to get out there lately. I am apparently missing out on some pretty interesting stuff. I'm hoping for this weekend. I'm glad you and Stan are close enough to be able to keep close tabs on this nest.
See you soon

It is so cool you can watch the eagles at their food source as well as the resultant feeding. Clapping Nice captures of your time there.
