Well the nest looks like its in good shape and lots of activity spotted today Cool

Checking around I found a good spot at the parking lot across the street {where the old nest was} that gave clear views with my 10x42 binoculars of the goings on in the nest. At 1.55 PM both on tree, one above on high outer branch, the other on the nest. At one point some left over food got torn to bits by the adult on the nest but didn't see any feeding taking place. May have just missed the delivery and feeding session I suspect.

Pardon me while I interrupt the nest observations for a moment. We are seriously considering having this year's FledgeFest 2015 out at the site of the Harrison Mills bald eagle nest. David wonders how many would come if it is there. Please email me at karen@hancockwildlife.org with any thoughts. Thanks.

wave Hi Stim, Gemini,Shrub and Steward, Karen, Irish Eyes, Marg and all.

Stan and I went to the Hastings nest and met Shrub and Steward there.
The weather was great and we had a really good time.

It looks like the Hastings eagle family is doing well.
Parent seems to be looking at its chick(s)

Hello Everyone,

Steamer and Annemie, it was great to see you again! Thank You Annemie for sharing your pics! I looked back to last years posts, and young were spotted around mid to late April last season, so if this pair is on the same approximate time table, there should be young in the nest! From Annemie's pictures, it most definitely looks as though there is! Nodding yes Clapping

My pictures are from when we visited Wednesday Evening. Ma was in the nest, sitting quite high up.

She got up, had a stretch,

Changed her position, and seemed to be settled for the night.

It was starting to get too dark, so we called it a night.
We'll have to get an earlier start next time.

Cheers

The Hastings couple rebuild their nest and now have chicks again.
They did it all. Cheers WooHoo
The eaglets are so cute. Cloud 9
Who knows, maybe there is even a 3rd eaglet in there, like last year, you never know.
I sure wish them a happy year ahead, they deserve it.Red Heart
