Wonderful pictures, Mary! Grin Grin

One of the adults just arrived with a fish, and I think one of the eaglets jumped down from the tree at the far side of the nest. There was some screeping when the adult arrived, but only one eaglet (the one who appeared at the back of the nest) seemed interested initially. The cam is doing a lot of buffering - freezing then jumping - so I'm not sure what happened to the fish - perhaps the first one ate it as it wasn't very big.

The oldest will be 11 weeks old tomorrow, and the youngest (who has definitely outgrown his original name of "Very Little" ) will be 10 weeks old.

Here are some pics from June 18th. This was a very windy and sometimes wet day on the nest. There was a lot of feeling the wind with their wings, flapping and clinging to the nest.

June 20, 8:31 pm CDT

One of the eaglets has been out of the nest most of the day - possibly branching. One of the adults brought in a fish a few minutes ago, one of them grabbed it an mantled, the second watched but didn't say much and the one who had the fish started working on it - not very fast, but doing a reasonable job of self feeding. Then I started hearing peeping that didn't seem to be related to either of the eaglets I could see - and there was a flurry of wings and I think the third eaglet dropped into the nestbowl from overhead, almost on top of the one with the fish. There was another brief flurry, and I think the new arrival got the fish and started eating quite eagerly. He or she then moved nearer the center of the nest, the one who had it initially approached, and I'm not sure who ended up with the last few bites.

I am very happy to see all three safely back in the nest. Grin

I think it's Jr., JudyB. I noticed he was missing yesterday when the two sisters were looking upward. I have pics of that just above here.

I have pics from yesterday, Mary - will try to add something tonight. If Youngest is male and the other two are female, males do often branch and fledge at an earlier age - so it might make sense that he's starting to pass them at this point. I'm hoping to keep an eye on the nest at work, and will probably try for a couple of slideshows tonight.

Or at least two are on hand - not sure if the third is in one of the corners of the nest, or off on a branch.
