Cam is back! Smile

Not sure who is incubating, and who is perched on the side.

I think this is Savannah on the nest, and Derek eating on the side of the nest.

1:35 pm
Savannah up for a stretch - seeing just one egg.

Up on the perch to the left, did a few flaps and a small poop shot.

I think this is Derek taking a turn incubating (and rearranging a small stick) while Savannah continues to sit on the perch and does some preening.

I missed the switch - but I think Savannah is back on the nest, and is currently doing some digging in the nest bowl, and Derek is back on the perch, keeping watch. And I think there's still only one egg, though the bright sun makes it hard to be sure.

Savannah does a bit of calling, then goes to join Derek on the perch.

She did a bit of flapping, then it looked as if she leaned forward, as if inviting bonding - but that didn't happen. She did a bit more flapping, then Derek went down to incubate the egg.

I am almost positive that Savannah is back on the nest, and she was up a few minutes ago, and I'm pretty sure there was still only one egg, though the sun was very bright. No s'cap - I was waiting to see if she'd move so that there'd be a shadow over the nest cup to make things easier to see, and that didn't happen.

Derek was doing some running around, and calling, then Savannah jumped up and joined him - I wonder if one of their neighbors came too close to the nest. It almost looked as if there was a third large bird just to the right of the nest when both of them went off that way.

Definitely only one egg.

I'm seeing Derek and one other adult running around. And I think I'm seeing the shadow of a human - looks as if he or she is either removing old food - or hiding new food for them to find (or both)

Savannah is back by the edge of the nest, and now Derek is also approaching.

I think someone that close to their nest when they have an egg would cause them to be upset, Bev, even though they are used to people walking through their habitat. They aren't educational eagles trained to sit on a glove and be hand-fed, and the staff probably keeps contact to a minimum. Or at least that's my guess. Smile
