7:02pm..................No sign of Pa..............egg is alone.

Bev, I think you are right..............it is what it is. Things could have progressed to a point where there was a real tragedy on this nest.................that did not happen. A disappointment, sure..................but it could have been much worse...........so I will think positive thoughts...................Ma and Pa are still around and healthy................and nature has decided for us what will be this year.

Day 73 for the egg

Egg is alone since Dad left at 3:58pm yesterday... this is the second time the egg was alone all night..... first time was Friday, June 13. and Mom and Dad showed up Sat June 14...since then Dad has been taking more and longer breaks off the egg


I hope that Dad's time has come and he will get on with this life.
