PS Over Rails, Breakin' Branch On Fly & Feeding~4-13-17

Mom feeds three separate times while I was there from 7 til 11 am. Dad grabs a stick on the fly, bringing it back to the nest where the female places it. Dad chows and mom feeds. Mom takes a short break, flies northerly and returns a couple minutes later with nesting material. I suspect there is a second chick but have only seen one at a time. If there is a second one, hopefully we will see it soon.

5/9/17 Eagle convention at the lake??? Here is A-61, hatched last year at Smuggler's Cove on Santa Cruz Island. He was last seen in December in Corvallis, Oregon. I stayed home today because I had a long day at lake yesterday. I heard a Red-tailed hawk making lots of noise. They were soaring together!!! Stayed over my house for awhile and then A61 took off for Ojai. I'm still in shock... !! (Linda)
