July 4, 2013

From earlier in morning, Eha left around 9:35 am leaving E1 alone. Koit came with a vole, which E1 took. E1 then looked at it, tried to get his balance and put a foot on it and tried to bite at it but no luck. E1 decided to preen. Koit looked at the vole as if to ask - what is wrong with the vole? Why are you not eating? He dug around the vole in the nesting material and looked at E1 but E1 continued to preen. Koit stayed on the nest until I had to leave.

So that's what E1 ate. My connection was spotty so I only saw him swallowing something. I guess Eha has been gone enough that E1 figures he cannot wait for her. E1 will learn how to eat before E1 learns how to stand properly. Titter

8:27 pm E1 alone still.

21.00 Eha is back and feeding the baby. Not sure what time Eha got back. It is interesting to see Koit so much on the nest at the day time, I donīt remember seeing LSE males at the nest so much... Chin I guess he has figured out how much Eha is away. Oh the shame
