Re my previous post...this problem seems to have resolved itself now with me stubbornly re-attempting to get my (equally stubborn) computer to comply

For weeks I was able to view the White Rock Eagle cams but for some reason I am no longer able to view the live feed even though my friend is able to view them with no problems.
Any suggestions as to a solution? And yes I have adobe flash.

Quote by: Skyclan10:30 am Good morning all, I am having trouble trying to post my s'caps this morning. When I click 'browse' it sends me to 'MY Desktop" instead of "My Pictures" even though I have saved the scap into My Pictures. My computer just says 'file not found'.... any thoughts on this please?
This is not a 'problem' skyclan. I have the same process each day when I go to attach my 1st s'cap. When you hit the 'browse' button your PC doesn't know what sort of file you want to upload, so it opens to a 'neutral' spot so you can navigate to the right kind of file.
That is why it goes to My Desktop.

Now, put your cursor on "My Documents" and click. You should now have a display of the different file types.

Select My Pictures

I have found that this process is only necessary with my first s'cap upload of the day. After that my PC opens to the proper location automatically
I hope this helps.
I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Thanks so much for your clear description Terry... happily my computer seems to have sorted itself out now and I don't have to do anything special to get to my pictures each day.

I am suddenly unable to watch anything on UStream!
I accepted a Flash media upgrade at about the same time -but don't think that has anything to do with it.
Sites like Maine cam and Decorah load for me - but the cam doesn't come up.
does anyone have any ideas?
ETA
I have a PC with
Microsoft Windows XP Professional 64 bit

I was able to view the White Rock Eagle cameras last year. Tried to get on last month and can watch the advertisement then the black screen says "connecting to video servers" but never connects. Has something changed? I'm not extremely tech savy so please be patient.

Hi J Staggs
On behalf of the Admin team, welcome to the HWF forum. I am sorry you are having difficulty opening our cams.
Others have also encountered the "black screen" problem. Here is a link to one solution that has worked for some people:
forum/viewtopic.php?topic=247744#247744
Give it a try and if you still get a black screen, post here again and someone with more tech knowledge than I have will be pleased to help you!

Well, that did not work. I changed the settings as instructions and still no picture. I can see the Ustream videos just not the one at White Rock.
Thanks,
